Quiet games for winding down

Not every game needs to challenge you. Some of my favorite evenings on the phone have been with games that just ask me to look, listen and gently poke at a puzzle.

Hollow Tide is my go-to example. It's an exploration adventure with no combat, muted colors and ambient sound that fills the room. The puzzles are logical and never cruel, and the whole thing ends before it overstays its welcome.

Legends of Slots fits this mood too, in a lighter way. Spinning its themed reels and watching the little creatures react is the opposite of demanding. Different genre, same calming effect.

If you've had a long day and want a game that soothes rather than tests, this is the category to browse. Headphones strongly recommended.
